About the Speakers

Dr. Stephen Heisler

Dr. Stephen Heisler

Dr. Stephen Heisler is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and servers as Assistant Professor of Vascular Surgery at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill School of Medicine. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Barry University and holds a Master of Health Service Administration. Dr. Heisler's clinical expertise spans wound healing, foot and ankle surgery, deformity management and correction, reconstructive surgery, and diabetic Charcot deformities. He is actively involved in research and is committed to advancing techniques and outcomes in lower extremity care.

Dr. Brittany Hervey

Dr. Brittany Hervey

Dr. Brittany L. Hervey is a podiatric surgeon with specialized training in diabetic limb salvage, complex lower extremity deformity correction, and foot and ankle trauma. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Seton Hall University, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where she graduated in the top five percent of her class. During her training, Dr. Hervey received the JT Tai Scholarship for academic excellence, was inducted into the Pi Delta National Podiatric Honor Society, and completed a three-year podiatric medical and surgical residency at Yale New Haven Hospital, a nationally ranked Level 1 Trauma Center. She is a member of the Yale Surgical Society and is committed to providing high-quality medical and surgical care to her community.

Dr. Brian Lepow

Dr. Brian Lepow

Dr. Brian Lepow is board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and brings extensive experience in podiatric surgery and medicine. He has held key positions, such as Chief of Podiatry and Director of Clinical Operations at HOPE Vascular and Podiatry in Houston, Texas, and has served as an Assistant Professor at the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery, Division of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy. Dr. Lepow earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona and his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine. He completed externships at renowned institutions including Northlake Medical Center (GA), Thorek Hospital and Medical Center (IL), Phoenix VA (AZ), and John Peter Smith Hospital (TX). Dr. Lepow has been awarded numerous honors, including Houstonia Magazine’s Top Doctors in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery (2020, 2021, 2023), the Top Abstract at the Symposium on the Advancement of Wound Care (2020) and the Wright Medical Technologies Educational/Research Grant. He is a founding member and Treasurer of the American Limb Preservation Society (ALPS) and is dedicated to advancing podiatric care through research, education, and leadership.
