TruVivo
TruVivo is the first and only 2D+ hepatic system to provide human-relevant, reliable results in an easy-to-use format. With TruVivo, users can expect the simplicity and flexibility of a 2D model, along with the relevance, longevity, architectural integrity, and robustness of a 3D model.
TruVivo Flex
An extension of our proven TruVivo system, TruVivo Flex offers customizable glucocorticoid media supplementation that supports both human and rat hepatocytes, merging proven performance with the adaptability essential for the extrapolation from in vitro insights to in vivo predictions.
Primary Human Hepatocytes & Non-Parenchymal Liver Cells
We offer primary human hepatocytes and non-parenchymal liver cells. including Kupffer cells, stellate cells, and liver endothelial cells. Our large inventory of primary human hepatocytes is available in plateable and suspension categories. Hepatocytes are tested for phase I and II enzyme activity as well as the induction of CYP3A4, CYP2B6, and CYP1A2 mRNA and specific activity. Donor-matched cells are available, and cells span the MAFLD/MASH disease spectrum.

Discover how TruVivo Flex now maintains rat hepatocytes with consistent albumin and urea production for at least two weeks. These data highlight TruVivo's potential for directly comparing metabolism, clearance, and toxicity between rat and human species on a single platform.

Key Takeaways:
-
Stable, Long-Term Hepatic Function: TruVivo Flex maintains consistent albumin and urea production for 14 days in rat hepatocytes, without requiring Matrigel, improving reproducibility and reducing workflow variability.
-
Enables Species-Relevant Metabolism Studies: Demonstrates robust CYP3A23 induction in multiple rodent hepatocyte strains, supporting more predictive rodent based metabolic assessments for early-stage compound screening.
-
Reproducible and Ethical Testing Platform: Offers a reliable in vitro alternative for preclinical research, aligning with industry efforts to reduce animal use through scalable, species-relevant, and reproducible systems.
